Water Street Glassworks

The cat is out of the bag!
Oh my, how excited I am to announce I will be teaching at Water Street Glassworks in the Benton Harbor, MI Arts District!
If you love glass, and who doesn't, then you need to check out what they have to offer.  Their list of classes are extensive, the instructors are great and I just can't wait to join the team.
Water Street Glassworks is more than just a fantastic glass facility, they play a mulit-faceted role and are an established anchor of the Benton Harbor Arts District.
Their Fired Up! after-school teen glass program offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for youth to develop creatively, personally and learn valuable business skills and is offered free to all students.
The general education program offers classes in the many different techniques of glass and metal art and draws students and faculty from all over the great lake region to experience Water Street Glassworks and beautiful Southwest Michigan.  The public access studio program offers access to artists who can't afford the luxury of running a glass or metal studio of their own and allows them to expand their skills in a supportive and collaborative community.

I will be teaching the following classes at Water Street Glassworks this fall:

  • FUSED GLASS TAPESTRY - October 15th from 6-9 pm, class fee is $70
  • FUSED GLASS TAPESTRY PENDANTS - 2 week class, October 22 6-9 pm & Oct 29 6-8 pm, class fee is $90
Call Water Street Glassworks to register for either class!  269-925-5555

AND - If you're in the area be sure to stop at the Water Street Gelato Shop, located right next door to Water Street Glassworks.  They are open Thurs - Saturday.  I'm gonna so take advantage of my teaching days and try as many flavors as I can!!!
What's Gelato? Well it's Italian ice cream made from only the freshest, high-quality, most flavorful ingredients and it's made right up the road in Fennville, Mich. The good folks at Palazzolo's create over 600 flavors of gelato and sorbetto in small batches, with attention to detail - the artisan way. You'll taste fresh fruit, rich chocolates, flavorful liquors, nuts - a decadent combination of ingredients in every delicious spoonful. Lavender and honey ... banana, caramel, praline ... mojito sorbetto ... you get the idea!
